Position Overview
Prospects and generates sales revenue by adding new program residential customers and cross selling and upselling current residential customers.
Responsibilities
• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from direct mailing/advertisement, community activities, and other resources.
• Sells programs and services to present and prospective customers through means of telemarketing.
• Conducts follow-up of leads through means of telemarketing to identify customer needs.
• Conducts retention and service calls through means of telemarketing contact. Meets branch retention standards.
• Estimates date of service to customer based on knowledge of branch production and service schedules.
• Prepares and maintains proper sales reports.
• Calls prospective customers to explain type of service or product offered.
• Calls current customers to measure satisfaction after completed service calls.
• Notifies customers of scheduled applications.
• Assists customers over the telephone by answering their questions and service concerns.
• Quotes prices and encourages customers to buy.
• Records names, addresses, purchases, and reactions of prospects solicited.

Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience in lawn/horticulture agronomic field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires general knowledge of the organization, products, and/or services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Good grasp of professional principles and skills. Knows and effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
